Chennai: Marking his 60th birthday, veteran actor Kamal Haasan joined PM Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat campaign on Friday by launching a cleaning drive at Madambakkam lake.
The star, who was joined by scores of his fans, said, “We are religion-free and colourless as far as politics is concerned. We hope that this movement will be strengthened.” Expressing joy, he reiterated that Friday’s effort was nothing new for him or his supporters as “we have been doing this for a long time”.
