Lenovo, a well-known manufacturer of various computer products and smartphones, has been launching some great smartphones recently. However, copying another brand to almost 90 percent of its design was never known from the brand.
Lenovo has blatantly copied Apple’s iPhone 6 to design an almost-identical looking Android smartphone, the Sisley S90. The handset has been copied completely from Apple’s original iPhone 6 design and one could even mistake it for an iPhone 6.
Lenovo has quietly released the Sisley S90 in China. The Chinese Lenovo website flaunts the S90 smartphone with similar promotion as seen on Apple’s website for the iPhone 6. As a matter of fact, the company has even displayed the S90 with similar wallpapers (of the Apple iPhone 6) in their promotions. Check it out yourself by logging on to www.lenovo.cn.
The silver body, the rounded edges, the rear panel, and pretty much everything looks almost identical to the iPhone 6.
However, though the design is copied to almost every aspect, there are a few minor differences in the two. The front panel witnesses the capacitive buttons for Home, Back and Menu instead of the single physical Home button as seen on the iPhone 6. The rear panel sports the camera and the flash in the same location as the iPhone 6. A Lenovo brand logo replaces the Apple Logo in the same spot. The volume rocker is placed on the right, while the SIM card slot is placed on the left side of handset, which are on the opposite sides of the iPhone 6, respectively.
The Lenovo Sisley S90 sports a 5-inch 720p Super AMOLED display. Powered by a Snapdragon 410 chipset and an Adreno 330 GPU, the S90 buzzes with four processor cores clocked at 1.2GHz along with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone is a dual SIM with 16GB of built-in storage and a 2300 mAh battery.
iPhone 6
The rear sports a 13MP camera with a single LED flash and an 8MP front facing camera is equipped on the front. Out of the box, the Lenovo Sisley S90 will be running on Android KitKat 4.4.4 operating system. The Lenovo Sisley S90 will be sold in China for 1,999 yen, which converts to approximately $326 or Rs 20,000 and will be available in Silver, Gray, Pink and Gold.
