HTC promises its smartphones will get Lollipop in 90 days
HTC has received the codes for Android 5.0 Lollipop from Google. They are now working on the code to release the Lollipop update for the smartphones that they have promised to get the new Android update.
The M7 and M8 smartphones have been confirmed to get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in 90 days and the rest, which have confirmed to get the Lollipop, will roll out slowly in the weeks thereafter. These will include many of the HTC Desire smartphones launched in 2014 and a few others.
According to a report on Mobile Burn, the new Lollipop update for M7 and M8 will also include the brand new HTC Sense 7.0, but it is not yet confirmed. So one can expect the new update to have the Sense 6.0 in the update till then.
Android Lollipop was announced as Android L earlier this year at the Google IO Keynote event. Google finally launched the Android Lollipop in October and rolled out the updates in November.
