Top leaders keen to meet PM Narendra Modi
New Delhi: Among all the heads of Government or State who will attend the G-20 summit at the Australian city of Brisbane, there are maximum requests for bilateral meetings from top leaders of foreign countries to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi there, MEA officials said on Thursday, even as Prime Minister Modi on Thursday said he was looking forward to meeting international leaders during the ASEAN, East Asia and G-20 summits.
Modi will visit Myanmar, Australia and Fiji from November 11 to 19. Terming his forthcoming visit to Australia as ‘special and historic’ that would take place after 28 years by any Indian Prime Minister, Mr. Modi tweeted, “In Australia I will meet the country’s top leadership and am honoured to have been given an opportunity to address the Australian Parliament.”
Mr. Modi said that he was eagerly looking forward to interacting with the Indian community in Australia.
