CM Siddaramaiah, G Parameshwar, Digvijay Singh off to Delhi AICC meet
Bengaluru: The perseverance of workers of the ruling party forced Congress general secretary in-charge of Karnataka, Digvijay Singh, to direct CM Siddaramaiah and KPCC chief Dr G. Parameshwar to speed up the process of appointments to state-owned boards and corporations.
Mr. Singh, who was mobbed by party workers during his visit to the city on Wednesday and Thursday about their sole demand on these appointments, discussed the issue with both leaders.
He was assured that the list of potential candidates would be given to him and other central leaders of the party in New Delhi on Nov. 16.
Subsequently, the three leaders emplaned for Delhi to participate in a meeting convened by party vice president Rahul Gandhi on Friday to strategize about strengthening the party’s support base across the country.
