Panasonic P55 comes with the ‘Tap Play’ feature

Panasonic has launched a new phablet, which falls under the budget device category – Panasonic P55.
Panasonic P55 features a 13.9cm (5.5) IPS HD display, and a Quad Core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. It runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) OS and sports a 8MP Autofocus camera capable of Full HD capture. It houses a 2500 mAh battery to power the device.
Panasonic P55 is equipped with the ‘Tap Play’ feature where the smartphone has an in-built capability to recognize touch while in sleep mode, i.e. users can double tap to wake-up the phablet instead of reaching the power button every time.
Expressing his pleasure on the launch, Manish Sharma, Managing Director, Panasonic India said “With technology constantly changing it allows our brand to push boundaries and create new and exciting products that are customized according to the needs and requirements of the Indian market.”
P55 also sports ‘Gesture Play’, a gesture based feature to launch apps directly from home screen; “Pop-i Player” which lets you multi-task while playing videos and a single hand operable music player named 'Music café'.
The MRP of Panasonic phablet P55 is Rs 10, 290 for the Indian market.
