CM Siddaramaiah: No question of sparing corrupt officials
Mysuru: The state government will not spare any corrupt official said Chief Minster Siddaramaiah, referring to allegations on a Rs 100 crore scam at Adminstrative Training Institute in Mysuru, during the tenure of former ATI Director General Amita Prasad.
In an interview with Deccan Chronicle, Mr Siddaramaiah assured justice to present ATI DG Ms Rashmi V. Mahesh after the attack on her during her visit to condole the death of ATI mess manager H. Venkatesh when the family was protesting.

While former ATI DG Ms Amita Prasad, who has been facing charges of a Rs 100 crore scam at ATI has been relieved from her state government post, present ATI DG Rashmi Mahesh who sent the report on the alleged scam, has been relieved from concurrent charge as Regional Commissioner of Mysore. Does this not send the wrong message to people?
The report sent by Ms Rashmi Mahesh is being probed by Assistant Chief Secretary, Mr VijayBhaskar. Based on his report, the case will either be handed over to CBI or Lokayukta. Central government had sought the services of Ms Amita Prasad, so she is being sent. There is no question of sparing any corrupt official. The case of Rashmi Mahesh has been handed over to CID. Once the report is out, the guilty will be punished.
The district administration is overburdened with Dasara preparations, is there a plan to set up a separate authority for Dasara?
There is no such proposal.
How does the government plan to address the property issues pertaining to the Royal Family of Mysore?
The cases related to the properties are in higher courts including the High Court and Supreme Court.
Mysore has the potential to attract investors and more foreign tourists with regular flights and better connectivity. . If the state is ready to give land, the expansion of the airport will happen. Are you ready to give land for the cause?
There is another proposal to have a tunnel system for expansion of the airport, we are exploring it.
Though Mysore is known as the Heritage city and there are 201 heritage structures including Mysore palace they are yet to get heritage tag, the reason is the proposed amendment of Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act 1961which proposes guidelines to identify heritage buildings, is pending with the urban development department. When is it likely to be cleared?
