CM K Chandrasekhar Rao showers more sops on tribals
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao showered sops on Girijans on the eve of the Budget Session of the Assembly beginning on Wednesday.
He announced that along with Dalit and Muslim girls, Girijan girls too will get Rs 51,000 under Kalyana Laxmi scheme at the time of marriage.
Lambada Girijans and Adivasi Girijans will also get three acres of land under tribal sub-plan besides ITDA programmes for those living on the planes.
Welcoming Congress Dornakal (ST) MLA D.S. Redya Naik, his daughter ex-MLA Kavita into the TRS at a function in Telangana Bhavan on Tuesday, the Chief Minister urged the senior Congress leader to sink differences with TRS leader Satyavathi Rathod.
Mr Rao said the government had issued orders providing 12 per cent reservation to Girijans and it would be implemented soon.
