Meeting at Cambridge School, Indiranagar today
Bengaluru: A meeting of the parents, education and police department officials, and the school management of the Cambridge School, Indiranagar, where a six-year-old girl was sexually assaulted, will be held on Wednesday.
This will be the first time the school management will come face to face with the parents after the incident. The meeting, scheduled to begin at 11.30 am, will focus on the safety measures to be taken on the school premises. BEO S.M. Ramesh will participate as a DPI representative.
Earlier, the meeting that was slated for Monday was called off following an uproar and protest staged by hundreds of agitated parents and political outfits in front of the school.
Reportedly, a few parents visited the school on Tuesday, but left without meeting anyone from the school management. A notice was put up by the school administrative staff which read that the school will reopen only after the direction from the authorities.
The note also requested the parents to cooperate as the school authorities are taking more security measures at the school.
ACP, Malleswaram subdivision, Sarah Fathima, who is heading the investigation, said, "The investigation is underway and I cannot share any details about the case as it may hamper its course." The school has remained shut since October 30.
