22,624 tickets will be sold out of 34,185 for India vs Sri Lanka match

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cricket Association has announced the sale of tickets for Sunday’s India vs Sri Lanka One-Day International match to be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. As many as 22,624 tickets out of the total stadium capacity of 34,185 will be on sale the rest being complimentaries (about 9,000) and pre-sold seats (1,080) in the 20 Corporate Boxes.
The prices range from Rs 500 to Rs 7,000 and the tickets would be available at counters set up at the Gymkhana ground in Secunderabad and the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal from 11 am on Wednesday. Fans can also book their tickets online on bookmyshow.com but will have to collect printed copies from the Gymkhana and RGICS counters upon furnishing the valid reference number.
“Counters will also be set up at Habsiguda (near the stadium) on match day for this purpose,” HCA president Arshad Ayub told a press conference on Tuesday.The HCA has also earmarked 240 seats in the South West enclosure to invite select former office-bearers, cricketers and umpires. The highest priced tickets of Rs 7,000 number just 160 split equally in the special enclosures in front of the Indian and Sri Lankan dressing rooms.
“Besides their prime location, spectators in these areas will be entitled to hospitality,” Arshad informed.While pledging free drinking water to all the spectators, HCA officials also promised action against vendors selling eatables at exorbitant prices at the ground on match day. “They face arrest if rules are flouted,” Arshad warned. Even as he assured an enhanced viewing experience, Arshad clarified that mobile phones would not be allowed into the seating areas in compliance with security measures.
