K. Surenedran said Kiss of Love protest was a transgender protest
A huge contingent of police blocked their way and asked them to disperse to avoid a law and order problem.
KOZHIKODE: BJP’s state general secretary K. Surenedran has kicked up a fresh controversy, making derogatory comments against sexual minorities. Mr Surendran at a press conference here, termed the Kiss of Love protest as ‘a mere transgender protest’. He likened the protest to West-influenced vulgarity, being lapped up India’s young generation.
“It was only a ‘chandu-pottu’ (transgender) protest,” he said fun of the transgender community.
