Junior doctors and senior residents in AP claim that they are ready to serve anywhere

Hyderabad: Junior doctors in AP have extended their support to the doctors in Telangana State and have joined the strike.

Additional director of health and medical education Dr K. Venkatesh said, “They have not given any notice. Only 50 per cent of them have joined the stir showing their support to the TS doctors.”

Like their TS counterparts, junior doctors and senior residents in AP claim that they are ready to serve anywhere, but said the government must provide basic infrastructure in public health centres and in the area hospitals.

A senior resident doctor said, “The rural service, as the government insists, is not taking place. No doctor was posted in a rural hospital, thus, there is no question of us refusing the service. The government is posting the doctors in the vacancies in teaching hospitals to meet the required staff number as per the Medical Council of India regulations so that these institutions are not closed.” shut down.If there are fewer than the recommended number of doctors, the medical college loses seats and may be shut down.”
