All is well! Shah Rukh and Karan restore friendship at birthday bash

Mumbai: Members of the film fraternity are talking about the revived warmth between Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar at the former’s birthday bash.

All roads led to Shah Rukh’s humble abode Mannat on Saturday night when the ‘Happy New Year’ star brought in his 49th birthday. The entire industry turned up to wish him.

Conspicuous by their absence were Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. And of course Salman Khan and Aamir Khan who wouldn’t be caught dead at Shah Rukh Khan’s place.

But according to a prominent director who was present at the venue till the end of the party, “It was a night to remember. Shah Rukh was in his element. Gauri and he greeted every guest personally. Karan Johar who had a fall-out with Shah Rukh mingled easily with the guests.”

Says the guest, “Karan made an effort to reach out to Shah Rukh . The two were actually warm to each other after a long time. Shah Rukh is in a very happy state of mind , what with the birth of AbRam and the success of ‘Happy New Year’. He was very warm towards Karan after a very long time. That apart, almost every leading lady from Bollywood barring Katrina was there. Shah Rukh had time and attention for all of them.”

The party, according to the guest, was a resounding success.

“All of Shah Rukh’s leading ladies including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with her husband Abhishek faithfully by her side were at the party.In fact it was Aishwarya’s birthday on 1 November , every one was seen wishing her at Shah Rukh’s party. Katrina was his only prominent leading lady to be missing from the party.”
