Accused took the girl from outside her house
Police has booked a case under Sections 376 of IPC and 5 and 6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012.
Hyderabad: A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 45-year-old man in Mahbubnagar district.
The incident came to light late. The accused was the neighbour of the victim and was well acquainted with her.
The incident took place on Saturday night in Amangal village. The accused, identified as Rafeeq Hussain, is a labourer. According to sources, the accused allegedly took the girl who lives in the same area to a deserted place when she was playing outside her house and raped her.
The victim who returned home crying informed her parents about the incident. Following a complaint from the victim’s parents, a case was registered.
