Mumbai: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who turned 41 today celebrated her birthday with the media. She says, she hasn’t slept since last night as she was partying. “It’s been a great day. I have spent my day with my family, friends, and loved ones. Last night, my friends and family came over and I haven’t slept since then. Aaradhya also wakes up early,” said Aishwarya Rai Bachchan during the interaction at Janak.
The actress looked stunning and elegant. When asked about her beauty mantra, she says, “I am in a happy space. As the phrase goes: ‘beauty is in the eyes of the beholder’. Therefore, I can only say, the love of my well wishers makes me look what I feel.”
When asked if it’s a double celebration as her husband Abhishek Bachhchan’s Happy New Year is also doing well; she replied: “It’s been a great year. I think, it’s really sweet of Shah Rukh and Gauri that they are giving a success party tonight. We will be celebrating Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday, as well.”
What is she planning for her daughter Aaradhya’s birthday which falls on November 16? “When she turned one, I thought of celebrating her birthday with close family members, so that she realises her relationships. Last year, when she turned two, it was a huge celebration. I had called some kids, it was like a wedding. This year, I am planning to keep it a mix of previous celebrations.”
Does her daughter Aaradhya realise that it’s her mother’s birthday? She replied, “Last year, it was all about her singing and that continues with a lot of clarity now. She has recognised that it’s her mother’s birthday. October and November are the months of birthdays. She also knows that her birthday is also coming. Aaradhya will turn 3 on November 16. Last year, when we were celebrating Abhishek’s birthday she would quiz: ‘Whose birthday is it? My birthday?’”
Aishwarya has signed a few more films, besides Jazbaa. She said, “I have also given a go-ahead to a few more scripts. I thought of making an announcement about that today; but then, I thought with due respect to the director and producer it would be right for them to make the announcement.”
Talking about Jazbaa she said, “Unlike the last two years, this year I have something to talk about. I have loved the script of Jazbaa and we will start shooting for it from January. I am excited about this film.” Directed by Sanjay Gupta, Jazbaa features Aishwarya and Irrfan Khan.
