People behaving like animals: CM Siddaramaiah
A civilised society has to hang its head in shame

Bengaluru: The state government on Saturday warned that it may cancel the affiliation or no-objection certificates of schools which failed to adhere to the guidelines issued by the state government.
Speaking at the Kannada Rajyotsava Day celebrations at Kantheerava Stadium on Saturday, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said the guidelines on the safety of children should strictly be followed by all private schools.
“A civilised society has to hang its head in shame. Probably animals too would not indulge in such acts. We have to condemn such inhuman acts. The moment a child enters the school, it is the responsibility of the school to protect the children. The school managements cannot shirk their responsibility," he added.
In all four cases of rape against schoolchildren, the government has filed criminal cases and invoked Goonda Act against the accused. “We have constituted an expert committee and are preparing to bring amendments to child protection acts.
We have sent circulars containing guidelines to all the schools which have to be followed. The government is committed to dispel the fear among the parents,” he said.
