MAAC students clean Cantonment Railway station

On the occasion, the students pledged to keep the country clean

BENGALURU: Animation and visual effects academy Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) launched Swachh Bharat Abhiyan awareness drive by cleaning Cantonment Railway station recently.

The drive was taken up along with the support of volunteers of Bengaluru Political Action Committee (B.PAC). More than 200 students of the academy and volunteers cleaned the railway station and planted saplings.

On the occasion, the students pledged to keep the country clean. MAAC then said that ensuring cleanliness at the railway station would be its responsibility.

MAAC Senior Vice-President Shajan Samuel said, “MAAC has been at the forefront of several unique CSR activities, the recent one being the documentary on city traffic police.

At MAAC we not only teach our students to excel in the creative field but motivate them to be socially responsible citizens. This is the very purpose of launching this initiative.”

B.PAC board member Anil Shetty, said, “B.PAC is happy to lend support to MAAC for the Swachh Abhiyan initiative. Clean India is not just cleaning public places; it’s about cleaning our own consciousness. I am happy to see MAAC students taking up this responsibility.”

Through Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, MAAC hopes to increase awareness about the need for making ‘Clean India’ a mass movement in the country. Kannada actress Sanjjana was present on the occasion.
