KOCHI: Kerala Piravi Day was in sharp focus on the second day of the 21st National Annual Sahodaya Conference being held at the CIAL convention centre at Nedumbassery. The CBSE Chairman himself set the tone by coming in the traditional Kerala attire of mundu and shirt.
The organizers too did their bit for culture by providing guests from across the country with a sumptuous Kerala lunch. Vineet Joshi, CBSE Chairman, was delighted tasting the Kerala dishes while several of the principal delegates had their tryst with Kerala tastes for the first time.
The organisers also surprised the visitors by presenting a slew of cultural events at the beginning of the conference that were performed by students of their schools. Thiruvathira was brought in first to reverberate around the big hall with the traditional rhythm on the birthday of the state.
Students of Devamatha CMI Public School, Thrissur staged it and it was followed by Oppana by Gregorian Public School, Maradu and Margam Kali by Nirmala Matha Central School, Thrissur. The pick of the cultural events was a Ganapathi Sthuthi Mohiniattom presentation by students of MET Public School,Perumbavoor.

However, the sessions continued with various presentations.
