Doctors strike still on despite claims

Hyderabad: Junior doctors claim that all 1,800 MBBS students and post-graduate students are still on strike, while the Government health department claims that 50 per cent of them have returned to work.

However, the doctors have made it clear that they are not going back to work and will wait for the court order. The post-graduate students, who had been asked to join ‘government service’ on October 30, have, however, resumed their duties. A junior doctor said, “These are senior residents who have joined, but they too will give notice and join us in the strike.”
