Telangana Congress leaders on Friday unleashed verbal outbursts at KCR
Hyderabad: Stunned by the defection of two more party MLAs to the TRS, the Telangana Congress leaders on Friday unleashed verbal outbursts at Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
They said Mr Rao was indulging in dangerous move to see that there shall be no Opposition in the state and luring MLAs to join his party to cover up all his failures.
Telangana Congress leaders Ponnala Lakshmaiah, D. Srinivas, K. Jana Reddy, N. Uttam Kumar Reddy met at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday to take stock of the situation after two more party MLAs joined the TRS.
Lashing out at Mr Rao, the Opposition leader in Legislative Council, Mr D. Srinivas, said the Chief Minister had nothing to take credit for during the past few months and has been discredited with failures in several fronts.
Mr Lakshmaiah said he had never seen during the last 60 years a government headed by the TRS that was discredited on so many fronts and full of failures.
The Opposition Leader in Assembly, Mr K. Jana Reddy, said the Congress will once again request the presiding officers of both the Houses to initiate action against the defectors and disqualify them from the membership of the Houses.
Meanwhile, Congress MLCs M. Rangareddy and M.S. Prabhakar met Legislative Council Chairman Swamy Goud and requested him to take action against those eight party MLCs defected to the TRS.
