BJP: KJ George’s appointment conspiracy against people
Bengaluru: The state BJP on Friday slammed the government for not taking action to prevent repeated incidents of rape against schoolchildren in the city.
BJP spokesman Suresh Kumar regretted that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah made a casual remark on the rape of a six-year-old girl in Cambridge School, Indiranagar that the school management has to take action as the incident occurred on the premises of the school.
“The chief minister’s statement is unfortunate. It is the primary responsibility of the state government to protect human rights,” he said. “Mr K.J. Geroge has remarked that the BJP has hatched a conspiracy to remove him as Home Minister.
“But the people are wondering whether it is a conspiracy against them to appoint Mr George as home minister,” he said.
The home minister has totally failed to discharge his duties, right from the incident involving ADGP Ravindranath to increased sexual assaults against schoolchildren, said the former minister.
