No issue with school affiliation: Department of Public Instruction report

Though the school has four floors, only four CCTVs have been installed

Bengaluru: The Department of Public Instruction has made it clear that Cambridge School, Indiranagar, where a six-year-old girl was raped, has no issues with its recognition and affiliation.

The school that was started in 1979 has permission to run English medium from first to tenth standards. “The school has 31 rooms and 39 faculty members.

Among them only two were female teaching faculty,” stated the report forwarded by Mr S.M. Ramesh, Block Education Officer, Bengaluru 4 to the Department of Public Instruction (DPI).

Though the school has four floors, only four CCTVs have been installed. “The police could not verify the CCTV footage as the computer room was locked,” it stated.

The Block Education Office and local police received a complaint in September over the school not following all the security norms.
