Kannur train murder; Man held for burning woman alive in train
The man had picked up the woman and wanted to go to Goa with her, but she refused
Kozhikode: Tamil youth, Suresh Kannan, 24, suspected of dousing a woman with petrol and setting her ablaze on a stationary train at Kannur railway station on October 20, has been sent to Railway police custody.
Thrissur town east circle inspector K A Biju on Friday confirmed that the suspect had travelled along with the victim from Kozhikode the previous night and planned to take her to Goa from Kannur.

But the woman, allegedly a sex worker, picked up a quarrel with him and refused to go with him to Goa.
Furious at this, the youth fetched petrol from a nearby petrol pump and used it to set the woman on fire inside the coach.
