Looks like choreographer turned filmmaker Prabhu Deva who has carved a niche in Bollywood for remaking Tollywood hits is at it again!

Having directed commercial films like Wanted (Pokkiri) and Rowdy Rathore (Vikramarkudu), speculations are running high that the dancing sensation will be trying his hands at a period fantasy action drama which will be the remake of the smash hit Magadheera.

Sources even say that Prabhu Deva will be roping in Shahid Kapoor to take on Ram Charan’s character in the Hindi remake, with Sajid Nadiadwala stepping in as producer.

Apparently, young Bollywood stars like Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor expressed interest in the project but Prabhu who shares good a rapport with Shahid from their R... Rajkumar experience together, chose the Haider star.

It also may be recalled that Rajamouli (director of the original) turned down the offer to remake Magadheera in Hindi. However, when DC contacted Prabhu Deva, who is busy wrapping up Action Jackson, this was his surprising response, “Really? It’s news to me!”

The choreographer director also added that he has his kitty full with the ABCD sequel and Singh is Bling with Akshay Kumar. Watch this space for more!
