Hrithik, Sussanne arrive in separate cars as court in Mumbai grants couple divorce

Mumbai: The Bandra family court granted divorce to Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan on Saturday morning. Hrithik and Sussanne both came in separate cars and were accompanied by their lawyers.
Both of them were present in the court and it was decided that both would get the joint custody of their children. Also, their children can be with whoever they want to be with and the parents will look after them in the best possible way.
The couple had filed for a divorce earlier this year. They reportedly tried to spend time together and sort out their differences but the damage was beyond repair. The couple had tied the knot in 2000 in a lavish affair in Bengaluru.
The family members of both Hrithik and Sussanne had tried to talk to them to save their marriage. Hrithik Roshan too has been in touch with Sussanne’s family and has dined with them on several occasions. Sussanne has got great support from her parents, who have stood by her and backed her decision.
Sussanne had reportedly walked out of their house and ended their 17 year long relationship and started living independently in a separate apartment. She put in all her energy to expand her interior designing business Charcoal project and took up many big projects.
Some reports suggested that Sussanne had claimed Rs 400 crore as an alimony but Hrithik clarified that she did not ask for a single penny.
The final settlement between the two was not specified in the papers submitted to the court. However, both of them accompanied by their lawyers, Dipesh Mehta and Mrunali Deshmukh, gave an assurance that they stand by any agreement made outside court.
