Birth anniversary of Sikh Guru from Nov. 2

Vishal Deewan (mass congregation) will be held at the Exhibition Grounds
Hyderabad: Members of the Sikh community will celebrate the 545th birth anniversary of the first Sikh guru Sri Guru Nanak Devji on a huge scale between November 2 and November 6, in the city. Over 25k devotees from across the state are expected to participate in the festivities.
Bhai Gurpreet Singhji of Shimla wale, Bhai Balwinder Singhji Rangeela, Chandigarh, Bhai Jaswinder Singhji, Bhai Hari Singh Hazuri Ragi Jathas, Bhai Jaswinder Singh and other reputed Ragi Jathas will recite Shabad Keertans and Kathas and throw light on the teachings of Sikh Gurus on November 6th.
Two Nagarkeertans (Holy processions ) will be taken out, one by the Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Guru Nanak Marg, Afzalgunj at 3 pm on Nov. 3, and the other by Gurudwara Saheb, Secunderabad, on Nov. 4.
On Nov. 6, when Prakash Utsav will be celebrated, a Vishal Deewan (mass congregation) will be held at the Exhibition Grounds. Nampally, from 10.30 am to 4 pm on November 6, 2014.
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Cabinet ministers are scheduled to participate in the celebrations.
