Yes, that’s right, Samantha has finally tasted her first big commercial break in the Tamil industry! The actress has been very successful in Telugu and was also a lucky mascot for many films, but a good break in Tamil was awaited and it is finally here with the recently released Kaththi.
“I am very happy. I had been looking forward to this success for a long time and it is finally here,” says the actress adding that even though the Tamil version of her film Eega was successful, she didn't consider it a “proper” Tamil film as it was dubbed in Tamil. “I have received a few awards and critical acclaim for my work in Tamil, still I felt the need for a commercial hit.
In the industry sometimes just talent does not count and people value commercial success more. With the commercial success of Kaththi, that is one thing off my list,” she says happily. With this success the actress is on cloud nine and tension free.
“Now as I have bagged a success I shall concentrate on good scripts,” says the actress. She is in Sikkim for the shooting of a Tamil film. Samantha is simultaneously doing Tamil and Telugu films, and work has started on her Telugu film opposite Allu Arjun directed by Trivikram Srinivas.
