Kishan Reddy : Criticising BJP won’t help Telangana
Kishan Reddy cricised KCR for calling Modi as
Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president G. Kishan Reddy said the attitude of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao towards the Centre and Union ministers, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, may hit relations between two governments and may ultimately hamper development of the newly formed state.
Participating in a round-table conference on the power sector in Telangana on Tuesday, Mr Kishan Reddy said the Chief Minister's statements against the Prime Minister calling him a fascist had reached Mr Modi through Central intelligence.
“When I met the CM and asked him to invite Union home minister Rajnath Singh for formally launching the new state, Mr Rao told me it was not necessary. Mr Rao is also trying to undermine the Union government on many issues and has passed objectionable comments against the Union ministers many times. This is not at all good for Telangana. Mr Rao's relationship with the Centre is getting strained,” Mr Kishan Reddy said.
He also said the Chief Minister should know that Telangana formation became possible because of the BJP supporting the Bill in Parliament and due to efforts by the Telangana political JAC all these years in which BJP was also a part. Mr Kishan Reddy asked Mr Rao to change his attitude and cooperate with the Centre to get more funds and projects.
He said despite the poor show by the BJP in elections, the BJP leaders are trying to get benefits for the state by using their influence with Central ministers.
