Mumbai: Farah Khan’s heist thriller Happy New Year hit the theatres worldwide on Diwali and managed to set a new record of highest first day collections in Bollywood.
After a rocking weekend, the film’s collections saw a slight dip on Monday.
Despite the favourable numbers overall, looks like the team doesn’t want to take chances.
That’s why Shah Rukh Khan and company have decided to reach out to the audience personally to “thank” them for all the love they have got for the film.
A source said, “While most actors are never seen after their film releases, team HNY has decided to continue their communication with the audience. It was very recently decided that they would go on a multi-city tour and reach out to the audience. This will help keep the interest level high.”
A source said, “Yesterday, they went to Gaiety Galaxy in Mumbai to check the reaction of the audience. Now they will finalise the cities and make their travel plans at the earliest.”
The entire cast of HNY has been together ever since they began their world tour SLAM.
Deepika Padukone in a recent interview was in tears when Boman spoke about parting ways after the film’s promotions would be over.
So now that a new tour is being planned, looks like there’s no breaking this “happy” bunch anytime soon.
