Won’t be vindictive says new Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar
CM said the law will take its own course
Chandigarh: Haryana’s new Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar at his first media interaction on Monday after taking office said that his government would not act out of “vindictiveness” and the law would take its own course.
His words gain significance as it comes a day after some of his Cabinet colleagues said the new ministry would order a probe into alleged land scams and not spare anyone, even if it was Robert Vadra or ex-CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
Mr Khattar also said that the announcements by the previous government and those in the process of implementation would be “reviewed,” but added this did not mean all of them would be discarded. Asked if land deals involving Mr Vadra were on his priority list, Mr Khattar said, “Our priority is to implement our agenda,” adding wherever any discrepancies are found it would be taken up seriously.
