The dog-owner found a man attacking her dog Layla
A 22-year-old man was hospitalized after authorities say he stripped naked and raped a neighbour’s pit bull in her yard, claiming the Islamic State group sent him there to die.
Dog-owner, Alice Woodruff said she confronted her neighbour at gunpoint Tuesday morning while he was performing sex acts on her dog that is kept on a chain in her backyard. Woodruff said that due to the dog’s aggressive nature, they are forced to keep Layla on an 800-pound tow chain. Oddly enough, the dog had remained calm throughout the attack. The man appeared mentally ill as he was telling her that the Islamic State terror group sent him there. The man was undeterred when she returned with her gun, even when she put a clip into the weapon. Even after the warning shot was fired, the perpetrator remained unfazed. He began moving towards Woodruff, claiming that he had given her dog Ebola.
Woodruff, who works in the mental health field, knew that the man had to be mentally deranged and said as she stood next to the man’s pile of clothes, she felt afraid, but at the same time, felt compassion for him.
Woodruff also said the man is a neighbor of hers, but they had never met before. Police planned to arrest him as soon as he’s released from the hospital. They plan to charge him with cruelty to an animal, sexual assault and breach of peace, according to reports.
