Arun Pandey was questioned over Dhoni’s stake in Rhiti Sports
Mumbai: The Justice Mukul Mudgal committee, which has been probing the IPL fixing allegations, is gearing up to prepare its final draft and it’s likely to be submitted before the Supreme Court this weekend.
According to sources, the members of the committee will have meetings in New Delhi for four days. B.B. Mishra, the deputy director of National Narcotics Bureau and a key member of the probe panel, will submit his final findings to Mudgal on Monday and his report will be discussed by other members before preparing the final draft.
Mishra recently questioned a few players including India and Chennai Super Kings skipper M.S. Dhoni. Arun Pandey, Dhoni’s manager and close friend, was also questioned over Dhoni’s stake in Rhiti Sports which manages a bunch of Indian cricketers.
Besides Justice Mudgal, the panel has additional solicitor general L Nageshwar Rao and advocate Nilay Dutta as members. Senior IPS officer Mishra is assisting the panel and has been given search-and-seizure powers as well.
The SC, which was hearing a plea filed by Cricket Association of Bihar (CAB), had asked Justice Mudgal, a retired Chief Justice of Punjab and Haraya high Court, to probe into the IPL spot fixing allegations.
