Pune: The team from Maharashtra turned their fortunes in their own backyard, they beat FC Goa 2-0 here at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex on Sunday. Kostas Katsouranis scored the opener and then later, sloppy defending by Gregory Arnolin put the ball before David Trezeguet who found the net for the first time in the tournament.

78: Pinheiro’s shot saved by Belardi. On the rebound, Narayan Das aims for the net before Lenny overpowers him with a tackle. Goa has been creating more chances, and has had more shots on goal compared to the hosts.
81: GOAL! Pune increase lead. Trezeguet scores his first ISL goal. A casual back flick from Gregory lands on the French foot who makes no mistake to convert. The Goa player failed to locate his fellow defenders. Goa look tired now.
