PM Narendra Modi praises media for ‘Swachh’
Media has turned its “pen into broom”
New Delhi: Nearly five months after he took charge, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached out to the media on Saturday on the occasion of ‘diwali milan’ (Diwali meet).
Organised by the BJP media cell at 9 Ashoka Road, the interaction with journalists was attended by most of the ministers of the Cabinet and BJP leaders. He said that “some way will be found to interact with media directly rather than the reportage and articles.”
Praising the media for spreading awareness about his “Clean India” campaign, he said that the media has turned its “pen into broom” and this has become a driving force behind the campaign.
He started by recalling the days when he was an office-bearer in BJP he said, “I also used to arrange chairs for you all.” “Those were different days when we used to interact freely. I had a beautiful relationship with you and it helped me in Gujarat,” he said.
