Meet the woman who spent 1 week in KFC to get over breakup
Washington: A China-based woman, after being dumped by her boyfriend, has spent seven days in a local KFC outlet in a train station in Chengdu to get over her breakup.
The woman, Tan Shen, who hadn't planned on staying there long, said that she just wanted some chicken wings, but once she got in there and started eating, she decided she needed time to think, Fox News reported.
Shen added that she stayed back as she didn't want to go back to her apartment because it was full of memories of him.
Jiang Li Lung, a KFC employee, said that at first no one really noticed her, but after a few days he began thinking she looked really familiar and then realized they had been serving her for the past three days and that she hadn't actually left.
Shen, who decided it was time to leave after local media reportedly started flocking to the restaurant, added that she decided the best thing to do would be to leave the city and go back to her parents.
Shen, who was getting sick of the taste of chicken, continued that she had already told work she was off sick, so phoned them and said she was leaving.
