Tahirul Qadri: Imran was told about sit-in withdrawal
Islamabad: Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri said on Thursday that his party had informed Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan well in advance about its decision to end Islamabad sit-in.
Talking to reporters before addressing a rally in Abbottabad, Mr Qadri said that it is now up to PTI to decide about the future of their sit-in.
“I will not comment on this… this will be their decision”, Mr Qadri said when asked whether Khan should follow him and end his sit-in in Islamabad.
He said that Imran Khan was informed about their decision days before the end of sit-in.
He said that a sit-in will be held in Haripur on Friday as part of his plans to hold countrywide sit-ins against the incumbent government.
Later, addressing the rally, Tahirul Qadri said that Abbotabad has given its verdict in favour of a revolution.
He added, the scope of the revolution has just been expanded. He said that “the war has only begun.”
