Hyderabad: Director Vijay Kumar Konda of Oka Laila Kosam is happy with the response that his film, a romantic love drama with Naga Chaitanya and Pooja Hegde as the lead pair, has been getting. The director was inspired by an incident that happened in Warangal a few years ago to make this film.
“The ghastly incident of acid attack on a girl named Swapnika by a cruel boy was the inspiration for the film. With this incident I came up with a story where a boy persuades a girl to love him, but in a good way” says Vijay Kumar.
“I always prepare a story first and then approach the actors,” says Vijay. Once the story was ready he met Nagarjuna. “At that time they were all busy shooting for Manam, still they made time to listen to my story. Nagarjuna liked it very much,” says Vijay Kumar adding that the film’s production was being looked after by Chaitanya himself.
Asked about his next film he says he has not committed to anything. “I haven’t started working on my next story yet. I am still concentrating on the promotional work for this film and would like to work with everybody in the industry!” says the director.
