Apple rolls out iOS 8.1 for iPhone and iPad
Apple finally rolls out iOS 8.1 for iPhone and iPad. The company has added Apple Pay, iCloud Photo Library, Camera Roll, Bug fix features to its latest iOS 8 version.
Apple Pay
Apple Pay will help iPhone 6 users to use the handset like a wallet. In order to set up the Apple Pay on your iPhone handset, one can simply add the credit or debit card on file from their iTunes Store account. The Apple Pay wallet creates a dynamic security code to securely validate each transaction. Each transaction is authorised with a unique number, using the Device Account Number
Apple Pay will also work on Apple Watch. The company also claims to offer Apple Pay to over 200 million owners of iPhone 5, iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s.
iCloud Photo library
One can access the saved photos on iCloud from any iOS device or even the iCloud website. The company is trying to allow individuals to view photos stored in the cloud from any computer. The iCloud Photo Library may soon be synced with a future version of the Photos app for Mac.
Instant Hotspot
Apple has added the Instant Hotspot feature to the iOS 8.1 version. This feature allows your Mac to access the iPhone’s personal hotspot automatically.
As soon as the Mac device recognises the iPhone hotspot section, the iPhone icon appears in the dropdown menu. The sync between the two, also helps in displaying the battery life and signal strength on the Wi-Fi menu of Mac.
Camera Roll:
Apple has added the ‘Recently Added’ option to the Camera Roll feature on iOS 8.1. This new tab will enable Apple users to access photos and videos that were captured for a month.
Bug Fix:
Apple claims to solve issues that appears on Mac, iPhones, iPads and other Apple products. The Bug Fix feature helps to fix the bug that prevents the read message to mark it in the read section. It can also fix the bug, which may interrupt with the screen rotation option, Safari video issues, Healthkit apps and also improves audio quality.
