Telugu Desam MLA Bode Prasad got proxy to write exam, says YSR Congress
The proxy examinee had also appeared for two previous exams for the MLA
VIJAYAWADA: Penamalur MLA Bode Prasad got embroiled in a controversy after a YSR Congress youth wing leader alleged that one Poranki had been writing the Senior Secondary Examinations of the National Institute of Open Schooling at SKVS Junior College on Monday in place of the MLA.
YSR Congress youth wing leader, Nutakki Nageswara Rao, alleged that they had received a complaint of impersonation in the open schooling examinations. He said that the proxy examinee had also appeared for two previous exams for the MLA.
However, the open schooling squad in-charge, Md. Rasheed, denied the allegations and said that the MLA had been absent for the examination on Monday and had been marked as such.
He said the MLA had appeared for five examinations earlier.
Mr Rao said that upon receiving the information about the proxy, he went to the exam hall with students and the media, but found the MLA’s seat vacant.
No police complaint was registered. Mr Bode’s signature on the exam answer sheets allegedly differed from the sign on his election affidavit. Mr Bode was unavailable for comment as he had left for Singapore on Sunday.
