Pups get a cradle ceremony
KARIMNAGAR: Taduri Ravi, a private employee working at a petrol bunk, organised a lavish cradle ceremony for five puppies at Vavilalapalli on Sunday evening.
He invited around 500 people, including friends, relatives and neighbours to the ceremony, which has become the talk of town.
His dog, Shiny, had given birth to five puppies recently and an elated Mr Ravi decided to celebrate the cradle ceremony of the five puppies by purchasing new clothes for the puppies.
His residence was decorated for the occasion and a large number of his friends, relatives and neighbors including public representatives of the vicinity were invited.
Incidentally, he and his wife, Ms Maheshwari, are childless. The puppies were kept in a cradle during the ceremony and the couple hosted a dinner. Shiny and the puppies were blessed and some people even brought gifts for the family.
“The ceremony was quite unusual but interesting. It was like a function of humans. We enjoyed being present in the event,” said a guest. Corporator Ontela Satyanarayana Reddy, BJP leader Bethi Mahendar Reddy and many others took part in the unusual ceremony.
