Pavitra Samarpana at Mangapuram

Tirupati: As part of the ongoing three day celestial festival of annual Pavitrotsavams in the Lord Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram near Tirupati, Pavitra Samarpana was performed with religious fervour on Monday. The day began with Suprabhatham, Thomala, Archana and later the processional deities of Lord Sri Rama, Sita and Lakshmana were taken to the Yagashala and “Vishwaksena Aradhana, Punyahavachana, Agni Prerana, Kumbharadhana, Yukta Homams’ were performed amidst the chanting of the Vedic hymns.
Later Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed to the deities.Colourful Pavitra Malas (thread spun out of colourful silk) were taken out in a colourful procession and were adorned to the processional deities and other deities at the Srinivasa Mangapuram and sub shrines inside the temple, the Balipeetham and the Dhwaja Stambham as well.
The ‘Tiruveedhi Utsavam’ was held on a grand note later on Monday evening.Temple deputy executive officer E.C. Sridhar and other TTD officials as well as the devotees and the locals took part in the second day festivities of the ongoing Pavitrotsavams at the Srinivasa Mangapuram temple on Monday.
