Khammam: Faced with the daunting task of verifying the 9.5 lakh applications received so far seeking food security cards, pensions and certificates under FAST, officials in Khammam district are a worried lot these days.
The government has directed all district collectors to verify the applications by going to the each and every house. Knocking the doors of so many household is a challenge for the officials, who would be trained to do so on October 21.
The officials plan to take up pension applications first and the teams would visit houses of applicants from October 22 to 30
