Teacher misbehaves with 14 year old student
Hyderabad: A teacher allegedly misbehaved with a girl student in his class in Brilliant Grammar High School, New Gayathrinagar, in Karmanghat. Though the incident occurred more than a fortnight ago, it came to light only on Monday.
The 14 year-old-victim is a student of Class IX. The accused, P. Srinivas Rao, 31, teaches physics and mathematics in the school.
According to the police, Srinivas had been frequently targeting the victim in the class. She was suspected of stealing items from the class. “Even for things like books and stationary material, the accused would suspect her,” said N. Election Reddy, the SI Meerpet.
The accused is alleged to have been sexually harassing the victim for some time. “He caught hold the victim’s hand and misbehaved with her recently. He threatened the victim of dire consequences if she revealed it to anyone. He also threatened her saying he would fail her if she did not listen to him.
