Ajmer dargah gets Rs 2 crore as per bizman's last will
Jaipur: The dargah committee of Ajmer on Monday received a donation of Rs 2 crore as per the wish of industrialist Dadi Balsara who died in June this year.
Balsara is his 'will' had directed his family to make donations at several places including Rs 2 crore at the dargah of Khawaja Moinuddin Chishty in Ajmer where he used to come frequently.
Dargah committee CEO Ashfaq Hussain received the cheque from the officials of Balsari Company in Delhi. The committee has decided to start a scholarship named after him and facilities for elder devotees at the dargah.
"We are considering starting a scholarship on Balsara's name for poor students to prepare for engineering and medical entrance examinations. We will work out a plan to run these scholarships for some years," Hussain told PTI over phone from Delhi.
Besides, he said that the committee would also create some facilities for elders like a resting room on the premise of Dargah Guest House and wheel chairs for them. He said that the dargah committee will send quarterly report on the progress of these initiatives to Balsari's office to make things transparent.
