Executive dupes showroom owner
Hyderabad: A sales executive of Orange Honda Showroom at Toli Chowki in Golconda allegedly fleeced the management to the tune of Rs 11 lakh by pocketing money paid by customers.
The scam came to light after the management checked the accounts. The accused, Hari Krishna, had been working in the showroom over the past few years .
According to Golconda police, whenever a customer approached Hari Krishna for the purchase of a two wheeler in the showroom, he collected the total amount and handed over the vehicle.
But, instead of giving the collected amount to the showroom, he kept it for himself. He had been doing this for two months and had pocketed payments of 20 vehicles in this manner.
Whenever the management questioned him about the amount, he said that he was yet to collect them from the customers. “It was a couple of days ago that the showroom authorities out of suspicion checked the accounts and found irregularities,” said Mr Ram Lal, SI Golconda.
When the management questioned Hari Krishna, he confessed to committing the theft. Following a complaint, a case was registered under section 420, 408 and relevant section of the IPC.
Sources said cops picked up Hari Krishna for questioning and suspect that some more representatives of the showroom may also have been involved.
