BJP can ally with NCP if they want: Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray

Shiv Sena will wait for BJP's alliance proposal, says Uddhav

Mumbai: As the Nationalist Congress Party offers to provide unconditional support to the BJP government from outside it has perhaps left BJP’s former ally on its guard.

“BJP will take NCP’s support if they want to. What can I say about it?” Uddhav Thackeray said while addressing the media on Sunday.

Thackeray also said that he has not been approached by any party and that he will not take the first step forward.

“If I take the proposal and they say no then? Therefore it’s better to wait.” The Sena Chief said.

While being non-committal on the alliance issue, Thackeray also said that his party will consider any proposal to ensure a stable government in Maharashtra.

Both BJP and Shiv Sena have been making strong statements saying that the Chief Minister will belong to their respective parties.

As per trends, BJP has emerged as single largest party in Maharashtra and it is shown to be winning 122 seats, followed by Shiv Sena with 61 seats.
