Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams gears up for Padmavathi fete
Tirupati: Tirumala Tirupati Devast-hanams is gearing up for the annual Brahmotsavam of Goddess Padmavathi at Tiruchanoor slated from November 19.
Among the several sub-temples managed by the TTD, the temple of the consort of Lord Venkateswara at Tiruchanoor is attached a great amount of significance by the visiting devotees and is definitely a part of the itinerary of every devotee on pilgrimage to Tirupati.
Such being the prominence attached to the temple which draws thousands of devotees on any day, TTD administration has been holding the nine-day annual Brahmotsavam of the Tiruchanoor temple on par with the Tirumala Srivari Brahmotsavam in the recent years.
And with hardly a month’s time left for the spiritual carnival at the abode of Goddess Padmavathi, TTD officials led by TTD JEO Pola Bhaskar have been constantly reviewing the progress of arrangements underway at Tiruchanoor.
Speaking to this newspaper, Mr Bhaskar said that elaborate arrangements including barricading, setting up of parking zones, cleansing the temple tank, beautification works, electrical works are all underway to ensure the best of arrangements are in place for the 9-day annual Brahmotsavam which draws huge crowds from across the country.
The JEO added that the main focus would be on the ‘Gaja Vahanam’ and the ‘Panchami Teertham’ which draws millions of devotees on the most important days of the festival.
He said foolproof barricading works would be undertaken with multiple entry and exit routes around the temple tank to ensure no untoward incidents take place during the ‘Panchami Teertham’.
