Coffee too in crop damage list
Coffee plantation damage is 50 per cent
Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government has categorised Cyclone Hudhud-hit villages as ‘severely affected’ and ‘partially affected’ to extend relief to the victims.
Families in severely affected areas will get more rice, pulses, palm oil, kerosene, sugar, salt and vegetables among other essential commodities, compared to those in partially affected areas.
The government will also include coffee plantation in the list of items of crop damages for sanction of input subsidy.
The scale of input subsidy will be sanctioned where coffee plantation damage is 50 per cent, and it will come into force with effect from October 17 onwards.
