H D Gowda accuses Ministers of land grab
'Land conversion takes place for about two crore in Bengaluru'
Hassan: Alleging that some ministers in the Siddaramaiah cabinet had grabbed government land worth crores in Bengaluru, former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda on Saturday said Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa had himself criticised the functioning of the government.
“Kagodu Thimmappa has himself called this a bad government. What more do you need?” he asked, speaking to reporters here. “How strict is the Chief Minister in administrative matters?
Land conversion takes place for about two crore in Bengaluru,” he charged. Taking exception to the eviction of farmers from encroached government land, he wanted to know if encroachers had been evicted based on the evidence produced by S.R. Hiremath against much bigger fry.
