Leaked: Apple accidentally leaked iPad Air 2, Mini 3 details
Apple will hold an event today for unveiling their next generation iPads and other Mac products. With rumour mills constantly trying to get a sneak peak at what is cooking inside Apples kitchen, they have been successful at most times.
Apple has managed to work behind closed doors closed at all times and makes sure that nothing leaks to the outside world beforehand. However, Apple did spill a little of their gravy this time, and it was a bad accident.
9To5 Mac managed to take a few screenshots of what leaked out—the user guide to Apple’s new iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 featuring iOS 8.1 amidst the iBooks. Yes ‘iOS 8.1’—it seems that the new OS update is not too far away.
The screenshots confirm that Apples new tablets will look identical to the predecessors, but will include the TouchID feature within the Home button.
Another feature that leaked along with the details is that the iPads will feature burst shots in the camera app.
Lastly, the images also confirmed that the new iPads will definitely sport the names iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3, stating that Apple will follow the number schemes for their lineups.
Apple will finally unveil the new products at the event today and will additionally showcase the new iMac with Retina Display and the next series of the Mac OS X, Yosemite. Sources claim that the Macbook series will be delayed for some reasons and could show up either end of the year or early next year.
